Shades of Red

Lately I've been really into hair color. I'm back to my natural hue of darkest brown (jet black in the summer, I know confusing), but I've really been loving girls with a red tint to their strands. Red hair is really beautiful on women, and I've been known to crush on some ginger men in my day as well. Here are a few celebrities whose hair I would kill for, not to mention their face and general sense of style.

Florence Welch varies her shades of red, but this one is my favorite.

I loved when she had her natural blonde color for the six month span while filming Spiderman, but I will always love Emma more as a redhead. I'm especially loving this strawberry color she's rocking while transitioning back.

I've been obsessed with Mad Men as its now available on streaming Netflix. Christina Hendricks' red hair is so beautiful, especially on the show when she has it in updo's surrounded by pin curls. But get this, she's a natural blonde.

Adele's auburn locks with subtle blonde highlights are gorgeous. She loves a good 60's style updo too, especially when performing and, yet again, she's naturally super blonde.

Alas! A natural born ginger! Julianne Moore's hair is gorgeous and deep auburn. I can't wait to see her Crazy Stupid Love with Ryan Gosling, Steve Carrell, and fellow red head, Emma Stone.

Comic-Con, Keep Them Coming

I've been bombarded with great trailers the past few days and its taken me a while to figure out where they were all coming from: Comic-Con.


Who knew a convention that was once regarded as a place only nerds would show face, would become such a huge focal point that the film industry uses to push their films?


Here are a few of my favorite new trailers, the movies I'm looking forward to seeing so far.


1. The Amazing Spiderman (Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, dir. Marc Webb)
The reinvention, instead of continuation, of the Spiderman franchise looks fresher and edgier with new, otherwise indie faces. Garfield and Stone have already created a buzz for themselves for their great performances in "The Social Network" and "Easy A," but, if everything goes as well as it has for them lately, after this, they'll be official movie stars. It should be easy for them as their director, Marc Webb "(500) Days of Summer," has a creative eye and a veteran cast, including Sally Field and Martin Sheen, to back them up. Take a look at the trailer below.

2. Immortals (Henry Cavill, Mickey Rourke, Frieda Pinto, dir. Tarshem Singh) 

I was a little concerned when I heard about this film. It had the potential to either be great or really cheesy, but after watching the trailer, the visual aspect of this film has made it one of the movies that I will most definitely watch in theatres. Henry Cavill is already on my list of brit-hotties, as I watched his supporting role in "The Tudors," but the question is, can he be a good lead? Lets hope so, seeing as how he's also lined up to play Clark Kent in the new Superman reboot. An added bonus, this film is produced by the same people that did 300. Yeah, its going to be good. 3. In Time (Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried, Cillian Murphy, Matthew Bomer, dir. Andrew Niccol)

I have to admit, while I love JT, as does every girl who grew up in the 90's, I was a little wary of his acting skills. I think his comedic timing is great (me and my sister often wish he were a regular on SNL), but while everyone else thought he was amazing in "The Social Network," I thought he was playing an asshole version of himself. I'm definitely going to watch "Friends with Benefits," but I'm more excited to see this new film because it looks as though Timberlake might be trying to stretch his wings here. Also, it doesn't hurt to watch Matthew Bomer, and Alex Pettyfer onscreen, ever. Plus, the concept of this movie is pretty cool, too.

4. Drive (Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan, dir. Nicolas Winding Refn)
This movie looks like everything about it will be good. The action, the acting, and the cinematography of the trailer is amazing, and Carey Mulligan and Ryan Gosling don't usually choose roles lightly. Mulligan and Gosling are young actors that pride themselves on perfecting their craft, so this film should be no different from their others, as, except for the occasional slip up (Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, and Young Hercules, anyone?), their resume's are pure acting, at its finest.
